Director of the Empowerment Zone
Ruvi serves as the Director of the Empowerment Zone at the Bronx Economic Development Corporation (BXEDC). In this role, he leverages his extensive experience and passion for community empowerment to drive economic growth and opportunity in the Bronx.
As a political campaign manager for Red Horse Strategies, Ruvi played a pivotal role in leading numerous successful campaigns that resulted in New York State gaining a progressive majority. His strategic guidance and ability to mobilize supporters were instrumental in achieving these victories, ensuring that progressive values were represented at the state level.
In 2018, Ruvi's commitment to his community led him to be elected as a Bronx County Committee leader. In this role, he worked closely with community stakeholders to increase civic participation in the 45th electoral district.
Ruvi lead development projects in the Bronx, Queens, Upper Manhattan and parts of Westchester. Whether it was the development of Diversity Plaza in Jackson Heights, Queens, or the expansion of “Boogie on the Boulevard,” his dedication to equitable development and inclusive practices earned him a reputation as a trusted and effective leader.
