Tabitha Bonsu
Senior Accountant
Tabitha is responsible for overseeing BXEDC’s accounting operations which includes maintaining the accuracy of financial records and track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss and other related financial activities including assistance with the Human Resources Department administration.
Prior to joining BXEDC, Tabitha was the Receivable Staff Accountant for Gourmet Guru Inc., a quality distribution company in The Bronx, where she developed useful skills that fostered her analytical aptitude and client engagement while maintaining an impressive work ethic.
During her time BXEDC, Tabitha has been able to collaboratively improve and manage non-profit financials, maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures, maximize performance by reconstructing operation procedures, create and advise on work efficiency, organize employee benefits, supervise staff members, and assist in time-sensitive projects that contribute to the success of BXEDC.
Tabitha pursued her educational background in accounting, business and finance at SUNY Plattsburgh, setting a great foundation for her passion for numbers.
